The Church Development Committee exists as the primary external engagement team focused on relationships outside the current CPC churches, for the purpose of the growth of the kingdom by championing the new churches through the steps to become particular churches in the CPC. The Church Development Committee does this in the following ways:
- Receiving contacts and correspondence from churches or individuals interested in joining the CPC and continuing that correspondence by answering questions and facilitating the process of the joining the CPC
- Responsible for the outward/external engagement of the CPC to the world, through the website, documents, and correspondence
- Coordinate with other CPC Committees as needed to usher new congregations into the CPC, including the Candidates and Credentials Committee, the Foreign Missions Committee, and various particular churches
