The Shepherding Committee of the Covenant Presbyterian Church exists as an advisory committee of Presbytery, and serves as a contact and resource for churches seeking counsel in any area of need. Committee members maintain contact with churches of Presbytery, and counsel with elders experiencing difficulties, and other CPC members on occasion, according to church session needs. The ultimate purpose of the Shepherding Committee is to glorify God by strengthening CPC elders through pastoral care. The committee also seeks to protect CPC churches and congregants from harm that can occur when elders lack their own resources of shepherding care, assistance, and counsel.
